Privacy policy
Last updated 5 August 2026. This policy covers the HOMAURA website at homaura.com.au. A separate policy will apply to the HOMAURA application when it launches.
The short version. If you join the waitlist we store your email address so we can tell you once, when HOMAURA launches. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not add you to a newsletter. Ask us to delete it and we will.
1. Who we are
HOMAURA is an Australian product. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean the operator of HOMAURA. You can reach us at hello@homaura.com.au about anything in this document.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What this site collects
Information you give us
The only thing this website asks you for is an email address, and only if you choose to join the waitlist. That field is optional in the sense that nothing else on the site requires it. Nothing on this site asks for your name, your address, your phone number, your date of birth, your health information or any payment details.
Information collected automatically with a sign up
When you submit the waitlist form we also record:
- the date and time of the sign up
- the page or site you arrived from, if your browser sends one
- your browser's user agent string, which describes the browser and operating system, not you
We keep these three things for one reason: to tell a real person apart from an automated submission, so the list stays clean. We do not use them to build a profile of you.
Server logs
This site is served by Vercel, which keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for a short period as part of running and protecting the service. We do not use those logs for marketing.
What we do not do
- No advertising trackers, no pixels, no third party analytics
- No cookies set by this site
- No fonts, scripts or images loaded from third party servers. Everything on the page is served from this domain
- No selling, renting or trading of your information, ever
3. Why we hold your email address
To send you a single message when HOMAURA becomes available, and to answer you if you write to us. That is the entire purpose. If we later want to send you anything else, we will ask first.
4. Where it is stored
Waitlist sign ups are stored in a Supabase database hosted in Sydney, Australia. Access is restricted. The public website can add a row to that list; it cannot read, change or delete any entry, including yours. Reading the list requires a separate administrative credential held by us.
5. Who we share it with
We do not share your email address with anyone for their own purposes. We use two service providers to run the site, and they process data only on our instructions:
- Vercel, which serves the website
- Supabase, which stores the waitlist in Sydney
We may disclose information if we are required to by Australian law. If that happens we will tell you, unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
6. How long we keep it
Until HOMAURA launches and we have sent the launch notice, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the product does not proceed, we will delete the list.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you whether we hold your email address
- correct it
- delete it, and remove you from the waitlist entirely
Email hello@homaura.com.au. We will action a deletion request within 30 days, and usually a great deal faster. You do not need to give a reason.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. The waitlist table enforces row level security so that the public key used by this page can only insert, never read or modify. We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, though no system connected to the internet can be guaranteed.
9. Children
This website is not directed at children, and the waitlist is intended for adults. If you believe a child has submitted an email address to us, contact us and we will remove it.
10. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, write to hello@homaura.com.au and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will email you before it takes effect.
